What's the difference between a manager and a member?
Managers can create bands, add gigs, manage venues and contacts, and invite people. Members join bands they're invited to, view schedules, respond to gig invitations, and participate in messaging. A manager can also join a band as a member using “Also a band member” on the band page.
When should I add someone as a contact vs a band member?
Add band members on that band's page — they belong on the roster and get the band schedule and chat. Add other collaborators (subs, crew, and so on) as Contacts from your dashboard so you can invite them to gigs later. Band members become contacts automatically.
What is the Invitations page?
Invitations is your inbox of invitations others have sent you — to join a band, become a contact, or play a gig. You can accept or decline there. Sending invitations (inviting people) is done from a band or gig page, not from that inbox.
Where are calendars and block-out times?
Open a user's calendar from their profile (calendar icon), or a band calendar from the band page. Click a day to add a gig (managers) or block out time when someone is unavailable. Managers can set block-outs for unregistered contacts they manage until those people create accounts.
What happens with unregistered users?
When you add someone by email who doesn't have an account yet, they stay unregistered until they sign up. Until then, you can edit their profile and set their block-out times. Invite them to register so they can manage their own profile and availability.
How do invitations work?
Managers send email invitations to join a band or play a gig. Invitees see open invitations in the app and can accept or decline. New users sign up through the invite link in the email.
Do I need to verify my email?
Yes. After sign-up you'll receive a verification email. Some features stay limited until your email is verified.
